Anesthesia and Surgery
We use the latest in short-acting and inhalent gas anesthetics, surgical monitoring systems, and surgical equipment to provide the safest anesthetic experience for all pets, including the very young and the very old.
Sterilization (Spay and Neuter): Surgical removal of the reproductive organs of female and male animals before sexual maturity greatly decreases the risk of many cancers and hormone-related health problems, behavioral problems, roaming, and unwanted babies.
Dental Care: Ultrasonic scaling and polishing must be performed on animals while under anesthesia to allow thorough removal of placque and tartar, complete examination of the oral cavity, and to prevent inhalation of bacteria and debris into the lungs.
A wide variety of bone and soft-tissue surgeries are performed in our hospital as well, including fracture stabilization, cancer removal and biopsy, exploratory surgery, feline surgical declaw, neonatal tail docking and dewclaw removal, and more.
Diagnostic Testing
Blood Profile Testing: A complete in-house laboratory plus access to a full-service diagnostic laboratory allows screening for a variety of blood, internal organ, hormone, parasite, and viral diseases in an efficient manner. Pre-surgical and critically ill animals will have blood workup evaluation ready in minutes!
Radiography (X-ray): The newest in-house x-ray machine and processing equipment provide diagnostic quality x-rays in minutes.
Cytology: Cytology allows microscopic identification of cancer cells and infectious agents on-site, often in a minimally invasive manner. A great diagnostic for ear infections, skin disease, and tumor identification.
Our relationship with specialists and consultants allows us to offer additional diagnostic services such as ultrasound and telemedicine, as well. |
